Pulau Perhentian is located on the Northern East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia in the South China Sea.

It consists of two main islands, Pulau Perhentian Besar (big), Pulau Perhentian Kecil (small) and a few smaller islands.

Pulau Perhentian is blessed with white sandy beaches, sublime turquoise water and peaceful surroundings.

Pulau Perhentian has been declared as a Marine Park.

Pulau Perhentian offers some of the best diving in Peninsular Malaysia.

Besides having more than 20 dive sites around the island, Pulau Perhentian is also famous for snorkeling, jungle trekking and relaxing! The dive sites have an extensive array of marine life from whale sharks to tiny nudibranches, satistying any scuba diver.

Getting There:

  • Fly to Kota Bharu Airport in Kelantan, then catch a taxi to Kuala Besut Jetty or Catch a bus from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Besut Jetty or Drive to Kuala Besut Jetty
  • Speed Boat from Kuala Besut Jetty to Pulau Perhentian (ETT: 30 minutes)
